Brand

Solidigm is a combination of the words “solid” and “paradigm.” Our motto is to deliver The New Paradigm of Solid-State Storage™, and our name is phonetically similar to those two words: SAA-luh-dime.

Solidigm was created after Intel® sold its NAND and SSD business in 2021. Certain business elements that were already in place or in development prior to the creation of Solidigm will continue to bear Intel labels and branding for some time.

With one of the industry’s broadest portfolios, Solidigm offers leading products using TLC and QLC media, each tailored to the workloads they are optimized to support. Solidigm is helping to shape one of the most overlooked elements in the AI chain: data storage. Data storage can have a massive impact on everything from GPU utilization to response times of large language models and more. Find more about our perspective on why storage matters for AI here

CSAL (Cloud Storage Acceleration Layer) is an open-source software that significantly reduces write amplification of NAND storage, enables the adoption of new storage technologies, optimizes access to drives, and improves the performance and lifetime of hyper-dense SSDs. Solidigm is a leading contributor to CSAL. More about our CSAL efforts can be found here.

Data Center SSDs are updated using your operating system’s ‘in-box’ driver.  You need to update Client SSDs with drivers that are found in Drivers & Downloads. Solidigm provides firmware updates through Storage Tool or Solidigm Synergy™ Toolkit. See the latest firmware for each product.

Start by determining if it’s a hardware or software issue. Updating to the latest firmware and/or secure erasing the drive can help determine if the issue is persistent or not. As with any drives, you should back up the data in your Solidigm SSD before troubleshooting.

We recommend that you back- up the data in your Solidigm SSD regularly. To learn more about backing up the data on your SSD, please read our article here.

The Solidigm warranty covers Solidigm-branded SSDs and some Intel-branded SSDs.  To find the warranty applicable to your SSD, see: https://www.solidigm.com/support-page/warranty-rma.html Solidigm recommends regularly backing up your driver.

Use the Warranty Checker to see if your drive is under warranty.

Registration of your SSD is not required. Use the Warranty Checker to verify your drive’s warranty status. The warranty begins the date the drive is purchased, so your Proof of Purchase may be required.

Solidigm Support Center has articles for education and help on SSDs and Tools. Community allows Solidigm SSD users to ask and respond to each other’s questions and experiences, for current and obsolete products. Customers can contact Solidigm Support directly for help troubleshooting.
